Established in 2003, Better World Books began with a simple idea - run a book donation, collect as many titles as possible, then sell those books to fund a reading program at a local community center.

As a seller and re-distributor of used books, it keeps millions of pounds of paper waste from unnecessarily filling landfills, and it is also the first company in its industry that introduces Carbon Neutral Shopping Cart, which collects a few cents from every transaction for renewable energy and reforestation projects.
